Non-toxic chalk on rock
About the work:
The words ‘love, peace, harmony’ have been written repeatedly with chalk spiraling around a large round rock. This ritualistic action for the symbolic protection and blessing of the surrounding area is supposed to give the wishes more power, through putting them into writing and repeating them, similar to traditional rock-paintings, which are thought to have invoked the spirits of the animals to promise a successful hunt.
Thoughts become words. Words become acts. Acts create reality.
