Weisser’s image: details of the outside view of the castle
Rust’s answer: High walls, electric fences, spikes and barbed wire surround most houses in Namibia, especially those of the rich. This is a typical sight when walking through the urban areas, which Namibians have grown used to. Due to the high crime rate, this is unfortunately a necessary evil. Security is one of the mayor considerations in Namibia, and any property not surrounded by lots of security is vulnerable to being broken into and robbed. Rust has painted what she knows of her home country: she has ‘surrounded’ the castle with a high brick wall, ‘build’ spikes onto the wall and added an electric fence.
